I’m surprised you’re
running into it more instead of less. I’m also a bit confused as to how
you know screen burn is what you’re dealing with if you don’t know
what it is. Screen burn is, essentially, metal oxide staining on the glass
caused by weather and metal screens. These days more and more people have non
metallic screens so you don’t see it as often. If the windows on a particular home are
newer windows and the screens are not metallic … you are dealing with a
different issue. Other possibilities are aluminum oxidation from frames or
siding, hard water deposits from the sprinkler system and/or calcium deposits
from concrete or brick mortar. How sure are you about what the problem is? Michael D. Brinegar President Pride Master, Inc. www.pridemaster.com -----Original Message----- Can
someone explain again, in detail, what exactly screen burn is. I am
looking for a way to effectively convey to customers what it is and why it
takes longer to clean than standard window cleaning. I am running into it more
and more lately on true divided window panes and it is very time consuming
trying to remove it. I was wondering if others charge accordingly for the labor
involved in removing it. Thank
you. Paul R. Valenta |
