Sounds like the beginning of a grudge match that could escalate. This
person obviously got smacked by the VP, then you smacked him right back. Is he
now supposed to go back to the VP and tell him that you won't do anything
different next time unless he pays you more? How do you think a VP with a
obvious big ego is going to respond to a shove back? You could have simply said
that you will do a better job in the VP office next time and that would have
been the end of the story. But now I think it will be on going, you haven't
heard the end of it yet.
