The weight is sometimes a
problem with the gutters beginning to pull away from the eaves … that’s
probably the main concern due to the cost involved in repair … but there
is also a problem with lack of proper draining too. Say your gutters are completely filled
with ice and you get a few inches of snow (like we’re about to here) …
then a few days later it hits 45 degrees and the snow on the roof begins to
melt … the water has no place to go except straight down and over the
edge of the gutters … with a constant melting going on you could have
waterfalls over the entire front and back of your house for hours because the
ice will never melt as fast as the snow. Michael D. Brinegar President Pride Master, Inc. www.pridemaster.com -----Original Message----- Forgive
my ignorance...being from Florida and all...why in the world would you want to
clean iced gutters ? Is it because of the weight ? Seems to me like
it would be easier just to wait until spring... -Patrick
