Re: [World] Cold weather Gutter Cleaning

I am in a similar situation.  I have miles...literally miles of ice-bound gutters to clean.
How effective would a hot-water pressure washer be?  It would be good to hear from the PW experts.
There are two challenges that I can see with using a hot-water pressure washer:
1 - everybody has shut off their outside water, so you would need to transport your own water supply.  How much water does it take to blast thru solid ice in gutters all the way around a 3000 sf, 2-story house?
2 - roof-walking is out of the question, as are multiple ladder placements per building.  So the PW would need to be done from the ground.  Would that work on 2-story buildings?  The one time I used an extension wand I found it to be difficult to control.  Is it reasonable to expect someone to use an extension pole for 8 hours?

What other challenges are there to using PW to clean iced gutters?
